Cupcake Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for a friend's daughter's birthday.

This is an A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). The base is Close To My Heart's (CTMH) White Daisy cardstock. The patterned paper is CTMH's Confetti Wishes and is cut at 4 x 5 1/4". The white mat on the front of the card is CTMH's White Daisy and is cut at 3 3/4 x 4". The white mat on the inside is CTMH's White Daisy and is cut at 4 x 5 1/4".

I used CTMH's December 2014 Stamp of the Month - Cutie Pie to stamp the cupcake and cupcake stand. I use CTMH's ShinHan Touch Twin markers to color the cupcake and stand. I used CTMH's Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set (which is retired) for the sentiment on the front and inside of the card. The rhinestones on the front are Queen and Co., which I colors with a CTMH's ShinHan Touch Twin marker.

Halloween Cards

I made these Halloween cards using the Close To My Heart Trick or Treat Sweets stamp set. It is an a2 card measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4", with the patterned paper layer measuring 5 1/4 x 4". The patterned paper is from my stash and all solid cardstock is recollections. I used a friend's punches to punch the circles and scallop circles. The images were stamped with Close To My Heart's Archival Black Exclusive Ink pad. The bubbles are from Queen & Co.

1st Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend's daughter's 1st birthday. I used the Create A Friend and Birthday Bash Cricut cartridges. The card is an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). All solid cardstock is Recollections, the patterned paper is a retired Close To My Heart paper and the gold glitter cardstock is from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is from the Stamps of Life candles4birthday stamp set. The pearls are from Queen & Co.

I used my Gypsy to cut the princess at 3" using the Create a Friend Cricut cartridge and cut the 1 at 1 1/2" using the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge. Here are pictures of my Gypsy screen and cutting mat. (You'll notice I cut 2 bodies and that is because I couldn't decide if I was going to use the face the cartridge cuts or stamp a face. I used the one the cartridge cuts.)

Birthday Card and Sympathy Card

Hello, and thank you for stopping by my blog! I have two cards I'd like to share.

The first is a birthday card I made for my daughter, who loves owls!

This is an A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). All solid cardstock is Recollections. The patterned cardstocks are from my stash. The patterned cardstock layer on both the front and inside of the card measures 4 x 5 1/4". The green layer on the front measures 3 3/4 x 5", and the green layer on the inside measures 3 1/4 x 4 1/2".

I used the Close To My Heart August 2014 Stamp of the Month (What A Hoot) to make the owl, and used the Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set, which is retired, for the sentiment. I used Close To My Heart's Archival Black Exclusive Ink Stamp Pad (item # 44751) to stamp the owl and sentiment. I added small rhinestones to the owls eyes.

The second card is a sympathy card for a dear friend.

This is also an A2 size card (5 1/2 x 4 1/4").  The white cardstock is Close To My Heart White Daisy (item # 1385) and the patterned cardstock was in my stash. The patterned cardstock layer on the front measures 5 1/4 x 4", and the white cardstock layer on the front measures 5 x 3 3/4". I used the Close To My Heart June 2013 Stamp of the Month (A Flowering Bunch) to stamp the flowers and used Close To My Heart's Words of Comfort stamp set, which is retired, for the sentiment. I used Close To My Heart's Archival Black Exclusive Ink Stamp Pad (item # 44751) to stamp the image and sentiment. I added Queen & Co. pearls to the front.

On the inside of the card, I used a strip of the patterned cardstock, which measures 5 1/2 x 1".

I hope you enjoyed my cards. If you would like to purchase Close To My Heart products, please visist my website at http://brendahalstead.ctmh.com/. I'd love to have you as my customer! Two Halloween Cards and a Wedding Card

I made two Halloween cards at a crop last week, and here they are:

These are A2 size cards (4 1/4 x 5 1/2") I used Create A Critter 2 to make both of these cards. The Owl Witch and the Ghost Pirate were both cut at 3 1/2". All solid cardstock is Bazzill and the patterned paper is from the DCWV Halloween and Fall stack. The outside sentiment on the Owl card is from The Stamps of Life, and the sentiments are from past CTMH Stamp of the Month sets. The gems on the Owl card are from Queen & Co. The background mat on the Ghost card is from Elegant Edges and was cut at 4".

Here are screen shots of my Gypsy for cutting the Owl and Ghost.

Here is the wedding card I made and gave to the bride and groom last night.

This is also an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). I cut the mat for the outside at 4 x 5 1/4" and embossed it with the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and used a sponge to apply the yellow ink. On the inside, the bottom mat is 4 x 5 1/4" and the top mat is 3 3/4 x 5". I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge to cut the car at 2 1/2" and the Just Married sign at 1 3/4". I also used the "negative" of one of the cuts on the inside of the card and used a Studio G stamp to stamp I Do. I used a wooden block stamp I bought at Hobby Lobby for the Congratulations sentiment. I added a Recollections heart gem to the front of the card. All cardstock is Bazzill.

Here is my Gypsy screen for this card.

2 New Layouts

Yesterday I went to a friend's house and we did some scrapbooking. It was a fun time! Here are the two layouts I completed.

The first layout is a Simply Stitched kit that I won at a crop. It was a very easy and quick layout to complete. Here are close ups of the two pages separately.

My friend gave me the page title and photo mats for the second layout. I then made a journaling box to match. I added Queen and Co. flowers to the bottom of the journaling box and 3 Birds buttons on the second page. Here are close ups of the two pages.

Bridal Shower Card

For my post over at CricutDIVA Design Team, I made the following bridal shower card for my daughter to give to her friend.

The card base and inside pink layer (3 1/2" x 4 3/4") is Core'dinations cardstock. The hearts patterned paper (outside and inside are 4" x 5 1/4") is from the sei Vanilla Sunshine card maker pack.

I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge (page 51) for "Bridal Shower" cut using the shadow feature at 2 1/2" and the umbrella cut at 3". Bazzill cardstock was used for both cuts.

I thought the umbrella looked too plain, so I added Queen and Co. Irridescent Rhinestones.

I left the inside blank so my daughter can write a personal note to the bride-to-be.

I did use my Gypsy to arrange the images on the mat to cut. Here is a picture of my Gypsy's screen.

Baby Girl Card

For my Sentimental Saturday post over at CricutDIVA Design Team Blog, I made this baby girl card in anticipation of the birth of my granddaughter.

This is an A2 size card and measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The base was cut from an 8 1/2" x 11" ivory cardstock. I cut the cardstock in half, which gives me two bases. The pink layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4". The background behind the stork was cut at 4" using the oblong and shadow cuts on the Elegant Edges cartridge (page 33). The patterned paper was something I had in my stash. Baby Girl phrase and shadow were cut using the Tiny Treasurers cartridge (page 68). I then used pink glitter on the baby girl phrase to help it pop more. The stork and baby were cut at 3 1/2" using the Tiny Treasures cartridge (pages 54 and 55).

Here is a screenshot of my Gypsy showing the stork and baby cuts, as well as a picture of my papers on my Cricut mat.

I completed the front of the card with four pink buttons from a Cute As A Button kit I bought from HSN. I also added Queen and Co. twine to the top of the blanket.
For the inside of the card, I cut the pink cardstock at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", the patterned paper cut at 2 3/4" x 4" and the white cardstock at 2 1/4" x 3 1/2". I added a Queen and Co. heart gem. The sentiment is from the Close To My Heart New Arrival stamp set.

All solid cardstock is Recollections cardstock.

I hope you like my baby girl card.

Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for my Mom's birthday.

I used my Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary Edition and my Gypsy. Here are screenshots of my Gypsy.

This is an A2 size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). All the solid cardstock is Recollections, and the patterned paper is SEI. I used the Country Life Cricut cartridge for the pitcher of flowers (page 60) and cut it at 4". I used the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for the scalloped oval (oblong and shadow - page 23), which was also cut at 4". I also cut extra flowers in each color as on the front to use on the inside of the card. I used Queen & Co. Rox Ice Solid Gold for the centers of all the flowers. The patterned paper mat on the inside of the card is 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", and the solid color mat is 3" x 4 1/4". I used the Close To My Heart Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set for the sentiments on the front and inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my card!

CricutDIVA Design Team Birthday & Graduation Cards

For the CricutDIVA DesignTeam Blog, I made the following birthday and graduation cards.

First is the birthday card I made.

All cardstock is Recollections. This is an A2 card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"). The yellow layer is 5 1/4" x 4". The car is from the Groovy Times Cricut cartridge (page 49) and was cut at 2". I used my Gypsy to lay out all the cuts on my mat, and here is a screenshot of my Gypsy and a picture of my mat:

I ended up not using the white stars for the windshield of the car, because it was so small that it didn't cut well. Instead, I used a white gel pen to put the star on the windshield. I used an EK Success tag punch to make the tag and sentiment on the front and inside of the card is from the Close To My Heart Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set. I then added silver Queen and Co. pearls to the front. The yellow mat on the inside of the card measures 5" x 3 3/4", and the white mat measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".

Now let me show you the graduation card I made. It is a tri-shutter card, which is the first one that I've made.

The dark blue solid cardstock for the base is Bazzill, and the patterned paper is from the SEI Field Notes paper pack. I used the Paper Dolls Teen Scene Cricut cartridge to cut the girl graduate (page 30) at 5". The cap was cut at 2 1/4" using the Creative Memories This & That Cricut cartridge. The sentiment is from the TPC Studio Class Act Stamp set.

I also used my Gypsy to make the cuts, and here is the screenshot of my Gypsy as well as pictutes of my mat.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. Also, please remember to visit the CricutDIVA Design Team Blog.

Happy Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for my friend Chris' birthday.

The base is Recollections cardstock and is cut at 4 1/2" using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The orange layer is Recollections cardstock and is cut at 4" using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, and is embossed using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The patterned paper layer is from the DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack and is cut at 3 1/2" using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. The cardstock used for the flower is Recollections and is cut at 2 1/4" using the Sophie Cricut cartridge.  The bling used for the center of the flower is Queen and Co. Twinkle Goosebumps.  For the banner, I stamped on a 3/4" piece of white Recollections cardstock, then notched the ends to make a banner.  The stamps used on the front and inside are CTMH Card Chatter - Birthday.  I used the CTMH Archival Black Exclusive Ink Pad.
