Cricut Lite Cartridge Giveaway

A fellow blogger is giving away a Cricut Lite catridge!  You should stop by Get Inspried With ChatterScene's blog and look for her "Blog Candy 300 Follower" post.  Good luck!

2nd Birthday Card

My daughter was invited to her friend's son's 2nd birthday party today, and she asked me to make the card. Here is what I came up with:

All cardstock is Bazzill.  The yellow glitter star paper on the front is from The Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza paper pack.  The snake and baloon were cut from the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge at 3.25 inches high, and the number 2 was cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge at 1.12 inches high.  The sentiment was stamped using a Stampin' Up! stamp.

I used my Gypsy to lay everything out on my mat to cut, and here is the screen shot.  Does anyone know how to get a good photo of a Gypsy screen shot?

Here is how all the cardstock was placed on my mat.

CS's Father's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to CS's Father's Day Blog Hop!  Thanks for joining us.

You should have arrived here from the talented
Michele

.  If you missed the beginning of the hop, please go back to the top of the hop with
Chris

to start so you don't miss any of the projects.  There is Blog Candy offered, so you want to start at the beginning and read how to participate to win.

For my Father's Day project, I made a simple, one-page layout, and here it is:

Even though it is a simple layout, I felt that it really showcased the pictures of my Dad.

The background paper is from The Paper Studio's Little Boys and Their Toys paper pack.  All soid cardstock is Bazzill.  I cut the #1 ribbon at 2 1/2 inches using the Just A Note Cricut cartridge (loaded on the E2).  I cut "DAD" at 2 inches using the Old West Cricut cartridge.  I used pop dots behind the #1 ribbon, and here a picture of the side view: (sorry it's kind of blurry)

I am offering Blog Candy, which is a mini chipboard album kit by Me & My Big Ideas.  Here is a pic:

If you would like to enter to win my Blog Candy, please leave a comment and include a way to contact you.  I'd love for you to become a follower as well, but it is not required to be eligible for the prize.  I will draw the winner on Tuesday, June 21st, and will use Random.org to draw the winner.

Birthday Cards

Yesterday was my son's 18th birthday, and it was my mom's birthday as well.  It's been so busy with end of the school stuff for my son, that I was short on time to make birthday cards.  Anyway, here are the two cards that I whipped up for their birthdays.

Here is the card I made for my Mom.

Here is the card I made for my son.

Here is the screen shot from my Gypsy for my Mom's card:

I used the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge for the cake and it was cut at 2 1/2 inches high.  I used a card base bought in a pack from Hobby Lobby, the background cardstock is from The Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza paper pack and all solid cardstock is adhesive backed cardstock I bought from QVC a few years ago.  The buttons are from the 3 Birds Cute As A Button kit I bought from HSN.

Here is the screen shot from my Gypsy for my son's card:

The car was cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut cartridge at 2 1/2 inches high, Happy Birthday was cut from the Gysy Wanderings cartridge at 2 inches high and the Candles were cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge at 1 inch high.  I used a card base bought in a pack from Hobby Lobby, the background cardstock is from The Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza paper pack and all solid cardstock is adhesive backed cardstock I bought from QVC a few years ago.

I think the cards turned out pretty good considering I completed them both in about 45 minutes.
