Baby Shower Invitation - CricutDIVA DT Post

I made this invitation for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law. She wanted pink camouflage and Winnie The Pooh, so here is what I came up with.

The base of the invitation is white cardstock, and it is an A2 size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). I then added a light pink layer that measures 4" x 5 1/4". The next layer is the pink camouflage cardstock that measures 3 3/4" x 5". Baby Shower is from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge. It was cut at 2" using the Shadow feature. (When you see the screenshot of my Gypsy, please disregard the Baby Shower in the upper left corner of the screen. When I cut this, some of the letters were so thin, they tore. That is why I used the Shadow feature for this.) I cut Winnie The Pooh from the Pooh Font Set Cricut cartridge, and he was cut at 2 1/2".
For the inside of the invitation, the camouflage layer is 4" x 5 1/4" and the light pink layer is 3 3/4" x 5". I bought the stamp at Michael's and used the Close To My Heart Archival Black Ink Pad  for the stamping.
All solid cardstock is Recollections and I bought the pink camouflage paper from Stampin' Station.
Here is the screenshot of my Gypsy.

My future daughter-in-law and her Mom loved the way the invitations turned out. I'm thrilled they liked it.

50th Anniversary Party Invitations

I made this invitation for a surprise 50th Anniversary party for my parents. I bought gold foil paper for the layers and letters and the "You're Invited" stamp from Hobby Lobby.  I embossed the white layer on the front of the card using the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder. I used Cricut American Alphabet (one of the pre-loaded cartridges that came with my Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary Edition) for the numbers and letters.  I found gold ink at Michaels and used that to stamp the inside of the invitation.  I also found the gold ribbon at Michaels and thought it was the perfect touch to make the invitation more elegant.

My parents should be really surprised since I'm having the party about a month and a half before their actual anniversary.

Welcome to the Holly Jolly Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from The Crafty Touch.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning at Kristen's blog My Fantabulous Life.  There are a lot of talented people in this hop, and you won't want to miss any of their projects.

My project is a cookie change invitation.  The card base and inside yellow cardstock is from A Quilted Christmas Cricut cartridge and were cut at 5".  The "cookies" was cut from the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge and was cut at 1.36".  All cardstock is recollections.

Here is my invitation:

Here is a screen shot of my Gypsy showing how I laid out the cuts on the mat:

I'm going to send this invitation to my friends for our first annual cookie exchange.

Think Pink Weekly Challenge

The Cricut Circle Blog is having a Think Pink Weekly Challenge, so I made this bridal shower invitation. I used the following Cricut cartridges: Accent Essentials ( I used my Gypsy to change the scalloped squares into rectangles. The pink one is cut at 6" wide x 4" high and the white one is cut at 5" wide x 3" high.); Wedding Solutions Cartridge (Banner cut at 6" wide x 2.03" high); Tie The Knot ("Bridal Shower" cut at 5.35" wide x 1.35" high); and Sweethearts (Umbrella - base and layer cut at 2.50" high and my Gypsy automatically calculated the width). All cardstock used is Bazzill, the patterned paper for the umbrella is from a QVC scrapbook kit, the silver paper is Paper Studio (from Hobby Lobby). I used the I-rock and I-rock gems on the umbrella tips, and a Sakura Glitter Gelly Roll pen on the lines on the umbrella and banner.
