Erie Orchards

We went to Erie Orchards on Saturday, October 23, 2010 to get Ethan a pumpkin and to get some apple and pumpkin doughnuts. We also walked around and looked at crafts. Ethan enjoyed feeding goats too. They had these great cutout things in which Ethan put his face in the hole. Here are some pictures.

Think Pink Weekly Challenge

The Cricut Circle Blog is having a Think Pink Weekly Challenge, so I made this bridal shower invitation. I used the following Cricut cartridges: Accent Essentials ( I used my Gypsy to change the scalloped squares into rectangles. The pink one is cut at 6" wide x 4" high and the white one is cut at 5" wide x 3" high.); Wedding Solutions Cartridge (Banner cut at 6" wide x 2.03" high); Tie The Knot ("Bridal Shower" cut at 5.35" wide x 1.35" high); and Sweethearts (Umbrella - base and layer cut at 2.50" high and my Gypsy automatically calculated the width). All cardstock used is Bazzill, the patterned paper for the umbrella is from a QVC scrapbook kit, the silver paper is Paper Studio (from Hobby Lobby). I used the I-rock and I-rock gems on the umbrella tips, and a Sakura Glitter Gelly Roll pen on the lines on the umbrella and banner.

Beth had Ethan's 3rd birthday party on October 3, 2010 at Chuck E Cheese. He really enjoyed himself. Here are some pictures. It took me 2 1/2 hours to decorate his cake, but was well worth it since he really liked it.

Looking Forward To The Crop Saturday!

I'm so excited for the crop Saturday, I'm having a hard time getting to bed so I can get up in time for work tomorrow! After I get home from work , I'll finish gathering my supplies and have everything ready to go. I'll definitely take pictures too.

Almost A Month

It's been almost a month since my last post! I can't believe we are coming to the end of September. The fime just flies by. I've been busy trying to get my scrapbook room in order, but it's taking longer than I expected because I can't do anything while I'm watching Ethan. Of course, I wouldn't trade spending time with Ethan for anything!

Beth's 22nd Birthday

Here are some pictures from Beth's 22nd birthday. Larry sure had fun making all kinds of faces. I made Beth the Hello Kitty cake. It was red velvet with buttercream icing.

Great Scrapping Weekend!

This past weekend (August 6 - 8), I went to a scrapping weekend with a bunch of my friends. I won the weekend for 12 at the Mega Meet. The others who went were: Wendy, Linda (Wendy's Mom), Sheila, Morgan (Sheila's daughter), Lorna, Chris, Laura, Sue and Lisa (Wendy's friend). We had a blast!!! Four of us (Wendy, Lorna, Chris and me) arrived Friday morning about 10 am. The others arrived throughout the day Friday, with Wendy's Mom arriving Saturday morning.

Friday night we went to Tietz's Restaurant for dinner. We had an entire room in the back to ourselves. The rest of the time, we ate the food that we brought. We had so much food left over!

Both nights Sheila and I stayed up the latest scrapping. Friday night we stayed up until 2:45 am and Saturday night we stayed up until 3:30 am. I woke up early Saturday (6:30 am) and Sunday (7:30 am).

We are planning on making this an annual trip, and will figure out something better for the food so we don't have so much.

I will post pictures later of the projects I completed.

Now I'd better get to bed for work tomorrow.

Precious Pictures

Here are some pictures we took with my Grandma. This was a once in a lifetime chance to get a picture of my Grandma with all her grandkids (including great-grandkids and a great-great-grandkid). We even took a 5 generations picture of my Grandma, Mom, Me, Beth and Ethan. These pictures are so precious, especially since my Grandma's health has been getting worse.

Been Spending

I've been spending some money lately on stuff that is really needed, and some not really needed. I ordered Andy's computer and he'll have it in time for school. I also ordered my sleeper sofa and it will be delivered on Saturday. I also had fun very early this morning ordering some scrapping stuff off of HSN. I also had to pay for some car repairs and bills, so that was nothing fun at all.

I'm going to be working on my scrap room the next few days and hope to get it organized soon so I can start creating!

Very Quiet

The house is very quiet tonight. Larry and his family left this morning for a week in Virginia, then they'll be heading back here for a couple of weeks. Russ left this morning too, and won't be back until next year.

I'll be working on organizing my scrap room this weekend. When Larry gets back, he's going to build me shelves in the closet. Can't wait til the room is done!

The House Is Almost Done!!!

Larry has been helping me rearrange the house and giving it a real good cleaning (kinda like spring cleaning in July). We've only got the kitchen to finish, then we're going to start setting up my scrap room! Larry is going to build shelves in the closet so I will have plenty of room to store my supplies.

Kate is heading to Virginia tomorrow, and Russ will be heading there on the 15th. We won't see Russ and Kate again until next July. Larry and his family will be leaving ont he 15th as well, but will be returning after a week. It sure has been nice having them home!

Well, I'd better head back to work.

I'm Finally Posting Again

Where has the time gone??? Russ & Kate and Larry and his family are home right now. We are enjoying our time together. We went to the zoo Friday, so I'll post pictures later.

Larry and his family are staying at my house, so there is never a dull moment. We are rearranging the house, so that's been keeping us busy too. I'm actually going to have my own scrap room, and Larry is going to be making shelves for the closet. I can't wait until that's done and I can start organizing my scrapping stuff.

I did receive my Cricut Circle welcome kit! I can't wait to start playing with French Manor! I plan to make a copy of my membership certificate and doing a layout about it. I'm also looking forward to the future charms for the bracelet.

A Lot Has Been Happening

Since my last post, a lot has been happening. Beth got engaged and has actually bought her wedding dress. We have almost everything booked too. We are going to be making Save The Date cards, so I will post a pic when we get one done.

A week ago, my Grandmother fell and broke her hip. She had surgery last Friday and was moved to a nursing home yesterday for rehab.

I'll try to make another post soon.

Krop For Kids - April 17

I attended the Krop for Kids on April 17th with Wendy, Sheila, Lorna and Chris. We had a lot of fun, and here are some pictures.

Here is a picture of Wendy and me.

Here is a group picture: back row from left to right: Lorna and Wendy; front row from left to right: Brenda (me), Chris and Sheila.

These two pictures show how the cropping area was set up. Don't you just love how the balloons make flowers?

Chicken Recipe Card

Here is the recipe card I made for a swap I'm in. We are exchanging chicken recipes. The blue cardstock is Bazzill, the patterned paper is The Paper Studio, and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby (I don't know the manufacturer because I threw away the empty spool). I used the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge to cut out the chicken head.

Layouts Completed Last Weekend

The weekend of March 12 - 14, 2010, I went to a weekend crop at Sauders. It is so much fun, and I was able to get a lot of layouts done. Here they are:
The cardstock for this layout is Bazzill. I used the Don Juan Cricut cartridge for the title, and the Indie Art Cricut Solutions cartridge for the die cuts.

For this layout, the patterned cardstock is from the DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies stack. The solid cardstock is Bazzill. The title was cut using the Hello Kitty Font Cricut cartridge.

The paper used for this layout is from Creative Memories.

All the cardstock on the following layout is Bazzill. The title was cut using the Blackletter Cricut Solutions cartridge.

For this layout the patterned cardstock is from the KI Memories Little Guy stack. The red cardstock is Bazzill and the title was cut using the George (I think) Cricut cartridge.

I used Creative Memories paper on this layout.

All the cardstock for this layout is Bazzill. The title was cut using the Pooh Font Cricut cartridge and the ape was cut using the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge. I used my Gypsy to weld the letters for the title.

All except for the title on the following layout are from Creative Memories. The tile was cut from Bazzill cardstock, and I don't remember which Cricut cartridge I used.

All the cardstock on this layout is Bazzill. The title is cut using the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge.

The patterned paper on this layout is from the KI Memories Little Guy stack, as well as all the buttons. The light green cardstock behind the shaped patterned paper is Bazzill.

All the cardstock on the following layout is Bazzill. The title was cut from the Storybook Cricut cartridge, and all the die cuts were from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge.

I used my Gypsy to plan everything on the mat to cut out with my Cricut. The Gypsy sure makes it easier to cut and helps to not waste paper.
