Hello Kitty 1st Birthday Card

My granddaughter's 1st birthday party was this past Sunday, and here is the card I made for her.

This is an A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). The base and all solid cardstock is Recollections. The patterned paper is Lucy (a retired Close To My Heart (CTMH) B&T paper pack).

For the front of the card, the patterned paper layer measures 4 x 5 1/4". I used the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut cartridge to cut Hello Kitty at 3 1/2", I used the Hello Kitty Font Cricut cartridge to cut the number 1 at 2" and I used the Stampin' Up! Bitty Banners stamp set and CTMH Archival Black exclusive ink pad for the sentiment and cut it out using the coordinating die set and my Cuttlebug. I used Recollections glitter on the flower on Hello Kitty's head and the number 1.

For the inside of the card, the patterned paper layer measures 4 x 5 1/4" and the solid layer measures 3 x 4 1/4". I used CTMH's retired Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set and CTMH's Archival Black exclusive ink pad for the sentiment.

Baby Girl Card

For my Sentimental Saturday post over at CricutDIVA Design Team Blog, I made this baby girl card in anticipation of the birth of my granddaughter.

This is an A2 size card and measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The base was cut from an 8 1/2" x 11" ivory cardstock. I cut the cardstock in half, which gives me two bases. The pink layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4". The background behind the stork was cut at 4" using the oblong and shadow cuts on the Elegant Edges cartridge (page 33). The patterned paper was something I had in my stash. Baby Girl phrase and shadow were cut using the Tiny Treasurers cartridge (page 68). I then used pink glitter on the baby girl phrase to help it pop more. The stork and baby were cut at 3 1/2" using the Tiny Treasures cartridge (pages 54 and 55).

Here is a screenshot of my Gypsy showing the stork and baby cuts, as well as a picture of my papers on my Cricut mat.

I completed the front of the card with four pink buttons from a Cute As A Button kit I bought from HSN. I also added Queen and Co. twine to the top of the blanket.
For the inside of the card, I cut the pink cardstock at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", the patterned paper cut at 2 3/4" x 4" and the white cardstock at 2 1/4" x 3 1/2". I added a Queen and Co. heart gem. The sentiment is from the Close To My Heart New Arrival stamp set.

All solid cardstock is Recollections cardstock.

I hope you like my baby girl card.

First CricutDIVA Design Team Post - Race for the Cure Layout

I am a new member of the CricutDIVA Design Team and this is the first project I'm posting over at CricutDIVA Blog. You should check out the blog when you get a chance.

This is the layout I created for the first time I participated in the Race for the Cure.

The base for the pages is Wausau paper. All other cardstock used is Recollections. I used the Pink Journey cartridge for all the die cuts. I cut the title Race for the Cure at 3 inches, the shoe at 2 inches, the wings at 1 1/4 inches, the pink ribbon at 3 inches and the border at the bottom of the second page at 2 1/4 inches. Here is a picture of my Gypsy screen as to how I had the cuts laid out on the mat.

I added Recollections glitter to the shoe, wings and ribbon to bling up the layout, and here are close-ups of those cuts.

I hope you enjoyed my layout.
