Save The Date Card

My daughter is getting married in August 2015, and I made this Save The Date card to send out. I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge to make this. I flipped and welded the shape for the base of the card. The base of the card and the layers were cut at 4 1/2". I cut off the ring part from the black layer. I also used the hide and contour feature on my Gypsy for the ring. "Save the Date" phrase and shadow were cut at 2". I used the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug emossing folder on the. black layer of the ring box. The white and black cardstock are Bazzill and the silver and silver prismatic cardstock were bought at Hobby Lobby.

I used my Gypsy to make the cuts, and here is a picture of my Gypsy screen.

Valentine's Day Blog Hop!

Welcome to our 2014 Valentine's Day Blog Hop! You should have reached here from RockinRenee's Blog. If you are just joining us, please start at RockinRenee's Blog. There are so many great projects and I don't want you to miss a single one! Today we are highlighting Valentine's Day inspired projects.

I made a treat bag topper for this blog hop.

For the base of the topper, I used the oblong shift and shadow shift cuts on page 46 of the Elegant Edges cartridge. I cut this at 7". The hearts are from the Simply Charmed cartridge on page 30. I cut them at 2" using the shadow feature. The face on the dark pink heart is from the Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character Face Assortment (PK-490) and I used the 1 3/8" face. Happy Valentine's Day is from Close To My Heart and was from the Whooo's Your Valentine stamp set. All solid cardstock is Close To My Heart and the patterned cardstock is from SEI. I purchased the treat bags at the grocery store.

Thank you for joining me. Your next stop on the hop is with gonescrappin.

Old West Birthday Card

made this birthday card using the Old West Cricut cartridge and the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge.

This is an A2 size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). The first layer of the outside and inside of the card measures 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and I used some patterned paper from my stash. I used the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge to cut the mat (cream) and mat shadow (blue) for the outside of the card at 4 1/2" using the Oblong shift and Shadow shift features on page 51 of the handbook. The blue mat on the inside of the card is 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" and the cream mat on the inside of the card is 3 3/8" x 4 5/8". The cowboy boot (page 54 of the handbook) was from the Old West Cricut cartridge and I cut it at 1 3/4". The cowboy hat (page 57 of the handbook) was also from the Old West and the one on the front of the card was cut at 1", while the one on the inside was cut at 3/4". The Happy Birthday on the front is a Stampin' Up! stamp I bought at a garage sale, and the Celebrate on the inside is from the Close To My Heart Card Chatter-Birthday stamp set. All solid cardstock is Recollections.
Here are pictures of the handbook pages I used. The first one is from Elegant Edges and the other two are from Old West.

Bird Birthday Card

One of my best friend's birthday was this month, and here is the card I made for her.

All solid cardstock is Recollections, and the patterned paper mats are from The Paper Studio Primrose and Sparrow paper pack. This is an A2 size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). The floral patterned paper mat measures 4" x 5 1/4" and the pink patterned paper mat measures 3 3/4" x 5". The bird is from the Florals Embellished Cricut cartridge and was cut a 2 1/2". The banner and Happy Birthday stamp are from the Stampin' Up! Bitty Banners stamp set and framelits set.

I used my Gypsy to position all the layers of the bird on my mat, and here is a picture of my Gypsy's screen.

I used the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge to cut the mat and shadow at 4". On the inside, the bottom layer of the mat is 5 1/4 x 4" and the top layer of the mat is 5 x 3 3/4". I used CTMH stamp sets to stamp the images.

Two Halloween Cards and a Wedding Card

I made two Halloween cards at a crop last week, and here they are:

These are A2 size cards (4 1/4 x 5 1/2") I used Create A Critter 2 to make both of these cards. The Owl Witch and the Ghost Pirate were both cut at 3 1/2". All solid cardstock is Bazzill and the patterned paper is from the DCWV Halloween and Fall stack. The outside sentiment on the Owl card is from The Stamps of Life, and the sentiments are from past CTMH Stamp of the Month sets. The gems on the Owl card are from Queen & Co. The background mat on the Ghost card is from Elegant Edges and was cut at 4".

Here are screen shots of my Gypsy for cutting the Owl and Ghost.

Here is the wedding card I made and gave to the bride and groom last night.

This is also an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). I cut the mat for the outside at 4 x 5 1/4" and embossed it with the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and used a sponge to apply the yellow ink. On the inside, the bottom mat is 4 x 5 1/4" and the top mat is 3 3/4 x 5". I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge to cut the car at 2 1/2" and the Just Married sign at 1 3/4". I also used the "negative" of one of the cuts on the inside of the card and used a Studio G stamp to stamp I Do. I used a wooden block stamp I bought at Hobby Lobby for the Congratulations sentiment. I added a Recollections heart gem to the front of the card. All cardstock is Bazzill.

Here is my Gypsy screen for this card.

A Halloween Card & Some Layouts

I was productive at my weekend getaways the middle of September and the beginning of October. Here are pictures of the Halloween card and layouts I completed during those weekends.

This is an A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). The pumpkin stamps were purchased at Archivers, and I used Spectrum Noir markers to color them. The patterned paper was from my stash, and I used black glitter tape behind the mat with the images and behind the inside sentiment. I borrowed the stamp for the inside sentiment.

I used the CTMH Sarita Paper Packet and Stickease Assortment to make the above layouts.

I used patterned paper from my stash for the first page of this layout and used my Cricut to cut the title cousins (sorry I can't remember which cartridge). On the second page, all cardstock is Bazzill. I used the CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge to cut the background of page 2, as well as the camera embellishment. I also used CTMH Flip Flaps to show all the pictures it took to get a good one of the kids. I also used glitter tape on the second page.

For this layout, the base of the pages is Wausau cardstock. It is a shimmery blue. The trim at the bottom and in the corners is from the Cricut Circle Paper Trimmings cartridge. Again I can't remember which cartridge I used for the font, but I think it was Nursery Rhymes.

I finally started my album from my trip to Portland, Oregon. This is my cover page. I used CTMH Dream Pop patterned paper for the base. Oregon was cut from the Destinations Cricut cartridge. I can't remember which font I used for Portland and July 2013.

I bought the patterned paper for the base of this page at a local scrapbook store. The dimensional sticker I added to the photo was also bought at the local scrapbook store.

I used patterned paper from the CTMH Dream Pop paper packet for the base of this page. All solid cardstock is Bazzill. The dimensional stickers were purchased at a local scrapbook store.

I again used patterned paper from the CTMH Dream Pop paper packet for the base of these pages. All solid cardstock is Bazzill, and the dimensional sticker was purchased at the local scrapbook store.

The solid background cardstock for this layout is Coredinations. All other solid cardstock is Bazzill. I cut the beer mug at 3" from the Smiley Cards Cricut cartridge. I used chalk on the mug where the beer would show through and then added dots of liquid glass to make it look like sweat on a cold mug.

All solid cardstock for this layout is Bazzill. I cut Oregon from the 50 States Cricut cartridge.

The base for this layout is from the CTMH Dream Pop paper packet. All solid cardstock is Bazzill. Again, I can't remember which Cricut cartridge I used for the title. Boy, I guess I'd better start writing down which cartridges I use.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card and layouts.
