My daughter is going to a baby shower and asked me to make a card. This is what I came up with.
This is a 7" x 5" card. The striped cardstock mat on the front and inside is 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" and the white mat on the inside is 6 1/4" x 4 1/4". The striped cardstock is from the My Mind's Eye Party Time stack and all solid cardstock is Recollections.
The cut on the front is from the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge (page 63) cut at 3 1/2". The blocks on the inside are from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge (page 124) cut at 1 1/2". The sentiment is from the Close To My Heart New Arrival stamp set, and is stamped with Close To My Heart's Archival Blank ink pad.
Here are pictures of my Gypsy screens I used to make the cuts.
I used the hide and contour feature on my Gypsy for the Layer 2 cut because there were three colors needed for the different items on that layer. I forgot to take a picture of all my papers on my mat.
I hope my daughter's friend likes the card.
Thanks for stopping by!

1st Birthday Card
My youngest grandson's 1st birthday was yesterday, and here is the card I made for him.
This is an A2 size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). The blue layer (for the front and inside) is 4" x 5 1/4", and the striped cardstock layer (for the front and inside) is 3 3/4" x 5". The teddy bear is from the Teddy Bear Parade cart and is cut at 3 1/2", as were all the layers. The shirt of the bear looked too plain and I was planning to add a cupcake sticker, but as soon as I saw the Ohio State sticker, I knew it would be perfect. Also, since this was for my grandson's first birthday, I thought the balloon was the perfect place to stamp a number 1. I used the Close To My Heart Trinity Alphabet stamp set to stamp the 1. I added a white layer, measuring 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", to the inside so I could stamp the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Close To My Heart Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set. I used Close To My Heart Archival Blank Ink pad to stamp the 1 and the sentiment. All solid cardstock is Recollections and the striped cardstock is from the My Mind's Eye Party Time stack.
I used my Gypsy to cut all the layers for the teddy bear, and here is a pic of my Gypsy screen as well as the cardstock on the mat.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card!

Our wonderful blog hostess,Paulette is giving away a prize! This week's prize is a Christmas Village cartridge. After the drawing for this week's cartridge, all the entries will be added to the entries from the first 3 weeks and a winner will be drawn for a Christmas (Noel) Solutions cartridge! So be sure to follow, comment and hop!
My project for this week is a Christmas card that is really out of the box for me. I have a hard time combining patterned papers, but I did it on this card.
This is an A2 size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). The base is ivory cardstock. The red layer (on the front and inside) is 4" x 5 1/4", the green snowflake cardstock (front and inside) is 3 3/4" x 5". The ivory layer on the inside of the card is 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". All solid cardstock is Recollections and the patterned cardstock is The Paper Studio from the Ornamental Christmas paper pack.
I used the Close To My Heart Art Philosopy cartridge to cut the tag an stocking. The tag was cut at 4" and I used the hide/contour feature on my Gypsy to hide the stocking cutout. The stocking was cut at 3". Both the tag and stocking can be found on page 67 of the handbook. I then added a button to the tag.
Here is a picture of my Gypsy screen, as well as a picture of my mat with the paper on it.
Thank you for stopping by my blog to see my project. Your next stop in the hop is Lisa.

Baby Girl Card
For my Sentimental Saturday post over at CricutDIVA Design Team Blog, I made this baby girl card in anticipation of the birth of my granddaughter.
This is an A2 size card and measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The base was cut from an 8 1/2" x 11" ivory cardstock. I cut the cardstock in half, which gives me two bases. The pink layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4". The background behind the stork was cut at 4" using the oblong and shadow cuts on the Elegant Edges cartridge (page 33). The patterned paper was something I had in my stash. Baby Girl phrase and shadow were cut using the Tiny Treasurers cartridge (page 68). I then used pink glitter on the baby girl phrase to help it pop more. The stork and baby were cut at 3 1/2" using the Tiny Treasures cartridge (pages 54 and 55).
Here is a screenshot of my Gypsy showing the stork and baby cuts, as well as a picture of my papers on my Cricut mat.
I completed the front of the card with four pink buttons from a Cute As A Button kit I bought from HSN. I also added Queen and Co. twine to the top of the blanket.
For the inside of the card, I cut the pink cardstock at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2", the patterned paper cut at 2 3/4" x 4" and the white cardstock at 2 1/4" x 3 1/2". I added a Queen and Co. heart gem. The sentiment is from the Close To My Heart New Arrival stamp set.
All solid cardstock is Recollections cardstock.
I hope you like my baby girl card.
